Laurent Aiello tests breathable racing overall

Yesterday, Opel works driver Laurent Aiello wore the arguably most striking racing overall of the 20 DTM drivers. At the Nürburgring, the Frenchman tested an innovation in the fireproof racing gear area for the very first time. This overall developed by Opel partner ’Stand 21’ is called Test Suit ST 3000 and has not yet left the experimental stage. Its material is just undergoing both laboratory and practice tests and for the time being it’s available only in a striking light blue. “The overall is made of a breathable material that is supposed to reduce the heat caused stress for the drivers,” explained Aiello. “It’s far more comfortable than the conventional combinations as you tend to transpire far less in the cockpit when you’re wearing this new racing suit.”
