From 18th to 20th August, the 2006 season’s sixth DTM will be held at the Nürburgring. And during the DTM weekend in the Eifel region, the ears of the crowds won’t be cosseted with great engine sound alone. They will also have the chance of listening to top-class music. On Sunday, 20th August, the German rock band ‘Silbermond’ is going to really go for it, during the ‘Pit Walk’. On the ‘ARD Chartshow Stage’, erected in the middle of the pit-lane, the four musicians will perform their rock songs to get the crowds into the right mood for the DTM race.
The band around lead singer Stefanie Kloß made its breakthrough back in 2004 when its hit ‘Symphonie’ made it to the top ten in the charts while the Album, ‘Verschwende deine Zeit’ achieved double platinum and the musicians from Bautzen were awarded the renowned ‘Echo’ as best newcomers. Their second album, ‘Laut gedacht’ was published just four weeks when it achieved gold status. Apart from the well-known hits such as ‘Symphonie’ or ‘Zeit für Optimisten’, the crowds may also look forward to the band’s current single, ‘Meer sein’.
