With the song ‘Personal Transcendental Experience’, lifted from their current album, ‘A Story From Somewhere in Between’, the Berlin based band Kensington Road provides the official song of the 2010 DTM season. Throughout the season, this tune will accompany the TV coverage’s ‘Highlights’ and ‘Pictures of the day’ and also will be used as soundtrack for the champagne shower following the presentation ceremony.

The band’s first and – to date – only album was published in summer 2009 and is popular not only with the DTM enthusiasts alone. The reviewers enthusiastically praise the band’s mix of college rock, alternative music and indie pop. The first single, ‘satellite’, made it to third position in the download charts right away. And with the single ‘Leave this town’, also lifted from the album, the five Berliners convinced both the fans and the reviewers with their versatility.

In early June, the band attended the DTM round held at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz and rocked the crowds during the pit-walk. The DTM fever, however, they caught as early as in 2009 when they travelled to the DTM race at Oschersleben and fired the DTM enthusiasts up, with their music. Kensington Road certainly will make another DTM appearance before long and so, the motor racing enthusiasts may look forward to seeing them again soon.
