DTM 2012 – three instead of two manufacturers on the 2012 DTM grid!

DTM is set to enter a new era in 2012 with spectacular new touring cars. It has been announced since spring 2010 and will come alive in this season: DTM is entering its 13th season since its revival back in 2000 – and comes with a lot of innovations: with BMW, the third German premium car manufacturer is making its comeback in the most popular international touring-car series – to challenge Audi and Mercedes Benz in the battle for the DTM title.

A race weekend does not only guarantee pure DTM action but also delights the fans with a multifaceted support program for the entire family. The official DTM support series Formula 3 Euro Series, Porsche Carrera Cup and Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup demonstrate additional intensive motor-sport experience on track. Music live acts, stunt shows, autograph sessions and a package full of exciting activities guarantee off track entertainment for everyone.

And just as it was the case this year, the DTM enthusiasts may look forward to an additional highlight: the show event in Munich’s Olympic Stadium. The second edition of this top-class motor-sport spectacle will be held on 15th July. Race action in stadium atmosphere, a multifaceted support programme and live concerts will turn the weekend in the Olympic stadium into a truly memorable experience.
