The BMW M4 DTM
The core of this brand-new racing car is its 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. At full throttle, the energy quantity is restricted to a maximum of 95 kilograms of fuel per hour (100 kg/h when using push-to-pass) to limit power delivery at full throttle. Despite this much-reduced energy quantity, the power output remains enormous: The engineers achieve over 600 hp (around 450 kW). Engine performance can be increased at the touch of a button. The energy quantity is increased by 5kg/h, to 100 kg/h, adding around 30 hp. Visual changes to the BMW M4 DTM are the 520 mm wider rear wing. This has no effect on the usage of DRS (Drag Reduction System), which reduces drag and increases the top speed. Also the number plate is no longer existent, providing more space for the vehicle cooling.
