Describe your 2015 season by dint of six terms: Challenge, adrenaline, joy, emotions, enhancement, teamwork.

My nicest DTM moment in 2015: Definitely my pole at the Nürburgring.

My worst/most disappointing DTM moment in 2015: That also is easy: the information lap for the Sunday race at the Hockenheimring when I lost it, went off and consequently couldn’t contest the race.

My personal highlights of the year 2015 (both private and job-related): I could turn my hobby into my profession by advancing to one of the best race series worldwide. This new challenge and the close cooperation with Mercedes-Benz allowed me to establish a lot of new contacts and make new friends.

That’s what annoyed me in particular (both in my private life and job-related): ): I was particularly annoyed by the five-second penalty in the second Norisring race. My car was standing too far up front on the starting grid and that’s why I received the penalty I had to come in for in the race. We finished ninth, nevertheless, but could have done far better without the penalty.

My favourite DTM colleague: On track, Pascal Wehrlein is one of my best motor-racing friends. We have a long joint history as we met for the first time at the age of eight years at a kart circuit.

My most exciting/most thrilling 2015 DTM weekend: My home race weekend at Spielberg. In torrential rain I finished sixth, thus securing my best result in the season.

The biggest surprise of the 2015 season, for me: I was aware as early as in the run-up to the season that the racing in DTM is extremely close, tough and that there will be contact with the opponents. But only in my first race in Hockenheim I learned that racing in DTM is a matter of life and death. :-)

This change / these changes I would love to see for the 2016 DTM season: I would love the calendar to feature even more race meetings.

If I hadn’t become a motor racer I would have liked to be a …?: I probably had opted for a profession where selling things is the top priority. I love negotiating and the face-to-face contact to other people.

That’s what I like particularly: I’m a passionate skier and love to then eat a Germknödel in the ski lodge.

That’s what I don’t like at all: I definitely don’t like cooking as I haven’t got any talent for it. In addition, I also lack the passion for cooking.

The motto of my life: Accept or make for a change.

My goal for the 2016 DTM season: I want to deliver on a consistent level. And If I could secure podiums this would represent a true highlight.

My favourite racetrack: Most definitely Macau. Racing at such a high speed that close to the walls feels just incredible. If you still can read the name of the manufacturer on the sides of your tyres, after the qualifying session, you definitely have been to slow.

 My role model/s: Ayrton Senna

My favourite sportsman/sportswoman: Marcel Hirscher

My favourite song: Drake – Started from the bottom
