Duval, Rockenfeller and Eng lose their grid positions
Three decisions by the stewards, all three of them hard to swallow for the drivers involved. As the Audi Sport Team Phoenix had worked on the two Audi RS 5 DTM in parc fermé conditions, Loïc Duval and Mike Rockenfeller were excluded from the result of first qualifying. They lose their respective third and eighth grid positions and will be starting from the back of the grid.
Philipp Eng was deemed guilty by the stewards for blocking Mike Rockenfeller and has to start from fifth instead of second place on the grid as a result. Unlike Duval, who initially was classified third, Eng is allowed to keep his two additional points for second place in qualifying Duval, who initially had scored one point, loses it to Bruno Spengler because of his exclusion from the result.
