Kristensen secures Oschersleben pole position

Behind the wheel of his Audi a4 DTM, Denmark’s Tom Kristensen secured the pole for the fifth DTM round of the season, held at Oschersleben. Kristensen’s team-mate, Martin Tomczyk, qualified for second position on the grid, while Gary Paffett took his AMG-Mercedes C-Class to third place.

14:13hrsBernd Schneider is the first driver to go out, followed by Mücke, Green and Abt.
14:17hrsBernd Schneider sets the first fastest lap time: 1:38.512 minutes. Then, Green beats his brand-mate by crossing the line in 1:37.797 minutes.
14:18hrsSchneider strikes back and sets a 1:37.382-minute lap to regain the lead.
14:19hrsThe battle continues: Green laps the circuit in 1:35.819 minutes and is back on top.
14:21hrsNow, Manuel Reuter secures provisional pole with a 1:35.375-minute lap. Green is second, Schneider third.
14:22hrsFrentzen leaps up to second place, some three tenths of a second behind Reuter.
