Videos, pictures and features – everything around the Oschersleben spectacle
With the seventh of the nine DTM race weekends of the 2015 season contested, the fight for the title still is far from being over. By finishing fifth in both races, Pascal Wehrlein passed Mattias Ekström in the battle of the generation. The 21-year old is the new championship leader while the 37-year old Swede had to leave Oschersleben completely empty-handed and dropped back to second.
Meanwhile, only one manufacturer made it to the Oschersleben podiums: BMW raced in a class of their own, in the Magdeburger Börde and celebrated a one-two-three-four in both races. For the winners of the two races, the Oschersleben weekend will remain a particularly memorable one: Timo Glock clinched the first DTM pole in his career to afterwards celebrate his second DTM race win.
For DTM rookie Tom Blomqvist, the win on Sunday was his first DTM triumph. In the 60-minute race on Sunday, he delivered in remarkable style, outpaced all his rivals and quickly opened a big lead over the rest of the field.
